Diego Maiorano is Senior Assistant Professor of Indian History and Politics at the University of Naples L’Orientale, Italy and Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of SingaporeHe is author of Autumn of the Matriarch: Indira Gandhi’s Final Term in Office and co-author of The Politics of Poverty Reduction in India: The UPA government 2004-14. He writes on India’s political economy and institutions.
