Sukumar Muralidharan , Associate Professor of Journalism Practice and Associate Dean(Research), O.P. Jindal Global University, New Delhi, was formerly Chief of Bureau, Frontline, New Delhi. As a print journalist for over two decades until 2004, Sukumar Muralidharan wrote on a range of issues including science and technology, economics, and current political affairs. Since 2004, he held varied teaching and research positions, including as Visiting Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi; Programme Manager for South Asia at the International Federation of Journalists, and Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. He has published research papers on the media industry, contemporary politics, conflict analysis, Indian planning, and theorising on modes of harnessing technology to meet development goals.
